I love reading the stories on there, but am limited to three stories a month since I’m no longer a paying subscriber. I’ve often thought of writing stories on there. I think it’s probably the best place if you want to make some money with your writing. I’ll have to look for you on there. 🙂

I’d love to read an update on how this has gone for you. I’ve been looking into iit lately and Had to admit I saw alot of potential at first. Posts seem to get much more readership for starters…
What I’ve been reading in the Medium daily reader emails almost scares me though. Seems like the platform is just as toxic as Twitter. One (presumed) gal that is a leader in an erotica group there did a post comparing pretty women to extreme far right males. Another did a post condemning a university study regarding men’s behavior and all men. She admitted at the end that she got her husband “trained” though.
I’m a moderate that’s seen the worst of both sides. Not much use for that level of mindless hate either. Tell me not ALL of Medium is like that.
So far my experience has been good but limited. In order to participate in revenue, you need to get 100 followers which I have only just achieved. It does seem that the most successful publishers on Medium publish often (some every day) and generally have stories that are shorter (1 to 5k words)
I have yet to participate in rewards but will update when I do.
I’m not as worried about the rewards as I am the community itself. I already explained the possible toxicity issue though, so no need to repeat. 🙂 Your reply sounds promising though. I’ll have to give it a closer look once my WP.org site is fully finished.
